Honey Mustard Salmon

Ingredients
For the sauce
4 tablespoons regular Attiki honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 large garlic clove, minced
For the salmon
2 salmon fillets (200 grams per fillet), skinless
Olive oil
Salt as desired
Freshly-grated black pepper, as desired
Sesame for topping
Chives or spring onions to garnish
Execution
- Get the salmon fillets out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking.
- Wipe the fillets lightly with kitchen paper and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic.
- Drizzle olive oil over a non-stick pan and heat over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon into the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Flip over and cook for 5 extra minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the salmon and cook for 3 minutes until the sauce gets slightly thickened.
- If the salmon is not ready, yet the sauce has thickened enough, add 1 tablespoon of water.
- Remove from heat, place the fillets on plates, drizzle with sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chives and serve.
