Attiki is a rich, aromatic, single-provenance Greek honey produced by bees that collect nectar from hundreds of wild flowers and trees that grow naturally on the islands and mountainsides of Greece.
Many of these plant species are unique to the Greek countryside and are found nowhere else in the world. Among the plants most frequented by the bees is thyme, which gives Attiki a distinctive flavour with hints of this fragrant and popular herb.
Since 1928, the mission of Attiki-Pittas Company has been to select and supply the market with only the finest quality Greek honey. It is a company that supports Greek apiculture and promotes Greek honey throughout the world.
The Attiki-Pittas production process includes:
- A tradition in honey packaging that goes back to 1928;
- A longstanding history of co-operation with selected producers;
- A selection of high quality honey varieties;
- On-going tastings before and during the packaging process, and of the final product;
- Quality Control at state-of-the-art company laboratory;
- Safe packaging to protect the natural components of the honey; and finally,
- Internationally-recognised unique flavours
